Florida real estate developer Louis Bianculli, a millionaire accused of drugging and sexually assaulting his stepdaughter using chloroform, continues to live a life of luxury while awaiting trial, according to Inside Edition. Despite facing life in prison if convicted, Bianculli convinced a judge he needed urgent knee surgery and was placed under house arrest at his $4 million Fort Lauderdale waterfront mansion. Inside Edition’s investigation revealed him walking unaided on his property, fishing from his dock, lounging by the pool, and exercising—behavior that seemed inconsistent with the debilitating injury he had claimed in court.
Private investigator Robert Crispin, hired by the victim’s family, played a pivotal role in exposing Bianculli’s alleged deception. Over four days of surveillance, he captured clear footage of Bianculli walking and fishing without any assistance—prompting Crispin to conclude, “He’s fooling the court, it’s a scam. This is clearly an abuse of the system.” His work directly supported Inside Edition’s effort to confront Bianculli on-camera about exaggerating his injury, highlighting the discrepancy between what the accused presented in court and his actual physical condition at home.
